BARC ranks Headlines Today as India’s No 2 English News channel
The opening week of BARC ratings, placed Headlines Today as the no.1 in the Delhi+Mumbai market group both in All Household (48.2%Mkt Share ) and the premium NCCS AB Household (50.8%)
Headlines Today also emerges as the stickiest channel in the English News space with highest time spent per household in the premium NCCS AB Households. The channel is also ranked as a clear no.2 English News Channel in the 6 metros (26.7%) with a massive leadership in Mumbai (Market Share 61%, NCCS AB). Also In Coverage (6 Mega cities AB) Headlines Today is No.2 with 0.37 Million Households. The channel also stands at No.2 position in the All India viewership with 24.8% market share (NCCS AB).
The Channel as per the BARC ratings is No.2 in the Prime time with 29% market share. The Super Prime time on the channel led by Rajdeep Sardesai, Karan Thapar and Rahul Kanwal consolidates this position further (8pm to 11pm) commanding a market share of 33.0% (Weekdays, 6M, NCCS AB) clearly beating CNN IBN and NDTV 24X7.
